Hey everyone! How are you all?

Well, I had my first day of college classes yesterday. Orientation was incredibly hectic, but very fun! I'm friends with my roommate and I've made a couple other friends as well!! I think I'm going to like living here ^ ^ But I will miss all my friends very dearly.

I guess I'll tell you about my first day.

My first class was at 11:30, so I didn't bother going to breakfast until 10:30. Problem, though: they close breakfast at 9:30. D8 Oh well. Guess I wasted a bit of my meal plan...
Anyway, then I went to Daly Hall and waited outside my World Theatre classroom until we were allowed to go in. I read my Bones book to pass the time. And talked to a couple people that were to be in my class.
The class itself was okay. We just went around and introduced ourselves and stated our previous acting experience. It took a while for me to state mine. o_o; I've been in a lot...
It was odd, though, because our original professor didn't teach it...she threw out her back, you see, and is going in for surgery. X_x Poor thing. She was pretty awesome, too...pray for her, if you do that sort of thing, okay?

Anyway, class let out 6 minutes late, so I had all of 4 minutes to get to my next class, Elementary Japanese. I was out the door when I realized I'd forgotten my purse. I rushed back upstairs to look for it, but it wasn't on the bench like I thought it was. I started to panic, wondering if I should look for it or go to class--all my money and my credit card was in there! So I'm rushing around, torn between my possessions and my education, crying and trying to look like I'm not...XD

I ended up going to Japanese. I arrived just a tad late, but hey, I had 4 minutes to do all that.
Japanese is awesome. Professor Narita is so cool. "Don't make fun of my En-gu-rish; I'll carr you up here and make fun of your Japanese." XD I was a little distracted all through class though, wondering if all my graduation money, my phone, my sunglasses had all been stolen. But I understood everything Narita-sensei said in Japanese! ^ ^ I came in, and she asked me in Japanese if I was Bethany, and I just answered "Yes" as if she'd asked me in English. She made a happy sound. XD Later she asked me, in Japanese, to read a passage of our syllabus, and I just started reading. XD I understand a lot more than I thought I did, or maybe she was purposely using very basic Japanese. Either way, I felt smart.
Everyone introduced themselves in class. "Washington daigaku no Besenii desu. Douzo yoroshiku!" ("I am Bethany of Washington College. Please regard me kindly [Nice to meet you]!" XD

After Japanese, a couple friends helped me look for my purse. Turns out some kind professor had seen it on the bench and had put it in the secretary's office for safekeeping. You've NO IDEA how relieved I was...but the secretary was out to lunch and had locked her office! The note on her door said, "Back at 2," but I had an interview at the Lit house at 2, so...you see my dilemma. So the professor called Public Safety to come and unlock the door ^ ^;; I thanked them both a bajillion times and then ran off to lunch with my friends. Phew!! That will never happen again, I'll make sure of it...

After that, I went to lunch very quickly, and then ran off to the Lit House. My interview went well, I think. She's supposed to get back to me on Friday about whether I got the job or not. Cross your fingers, everyone...!!

Then I went home. I did my reading for my MWF classes for the week so I could chill the other nights. I'm glad I did. I had a lot of reading for World Theatre, and a lot of Workbook work for Japanese. But I got it all done. While watching Bones in the background. XD

Hoping today's classes are as cool as yesterday's! I have Basics of Computing and Creative Writing today. I'm excited for the latter!!...and not so much for the former. XD But I will try to enjoy it nevertheless!
